Repertoires als «inventories»
Aushandlungsprozesse von immateriellem Kulturerbe in der Neuen Schweizer Volksmusik
Musicians in the eld of New Swiss Folk Music produce their repertoire drawing on material from Swiss traditional music. Following very re ective approaches they (re-)construct Swiss folk music, create new meanings, and inject it with new values. It is particularly insightful to compare the process of repertoire-making with the processes of inventory-making of intangible cultural heritage: in this particular moment musicians decide and re ect on which pieces, songs and melodies are worth to be played and thus worth to be safeguarded.
